clouddog™ believe that the right to care about the planet is a universal one, regardless of socio-economic background. Our aim is to help students from inner city backgrounds to develop self-esteem, focus and direction through targeted exposure to multicultural, environmental, conservation and community-based experiences.
We work with students between 16 and 18 years of age, on the brink of adulthood and educational and career choices. This is where we believe the greatest impact can be made.
clouddog is a fully registered charity in the UK and South Africa. One component of our twelve month stucutured programme is centered on community based work. clouddog have been pleased to work with African Insight during the past five years on projects in remote regions of Kwa Zulu Natal, in particular Ekuthuleni, outside Eshowe.
African Insight have a unique ability and dedication to rural communities. They have excellent cultural knowledge and sensitivity to deal respectfully in the communities in which they operate. They involve the community through all stages of planning in order to prevent a ‘hand-out’ mentality. Above all clouddog choose to work with African Insight because of the authentic experiences offered. The dedicated team are professional and prompt in dealing with bookings and queries.
We look forward to building on our relationship with them in future years and would be pleased to discuss our involvement with them should you require.
Sincerely,
Teresa J Brosnan
